Landscape Design and Application

The landscape design and implementation processes of our private residence project located in Istinye were carried out by our firm. The design approach focused on preserving the existing pool configuration in accordance with the architectural character of the property and site regulations, while developing solutions to enhance user comfort and functionality. The integrated step design within the pool improves accessibility while allowing the existing geometry to be utilized in the most efficient manner.

Taking the site’s level differences into consideration, the entrance area was organized with a two-car parking space resolved across different elevations, creating a functional layout that strengthens the relationship between landscape and architecture. At the upper level, the seating area was equipped with a motorized screen fabric shading system mounted on a galvanized steel support structure, providing controlled shading and ensuring comfortable outdoor use throughout the year.

The Walks Grey ceramic finish used at the lower level was continued across the pool interior surfaces and parapet details, creating a consistent and cohesive material language throughout the pool area. The outdoor shower, garden storage unit, and air conditioning concealment solutions were designed with Iroko timber cladding, introducing a warm natural texture and a refined outdoor atmosphere. Galvanized steel elevation elements, climbing plant support structures, and decorative screening elements contribute both visual depth and enhanced privacy to the space.

Custom-designed movable fiber planters used across the terrace areas soften the extensive hardscape surfaces, extending the landscape character into the outdoor living spaces and creating natural transitions between different functional zones. Supported by planting elements and carefully developed architectural details, the design establishes a balanced living environment where contemporary architectural lines are harmoniously integrated with nature.
