Landscape Design and Professional supervision

The landscape implementation project for the development undertaken in collaboration with Emaar Properties and Jzmk Partners was prepared by Betula Landscape Architecture.

During the conceptual design phase, a study trip to the Tuscany region was undertaken to develop the project’s landscape character and inform the planting design strategy. The region’s distinctive landscape identity, rural character, planting compositions, material palette, and spatial atmosphere were studied on site, generating design inputs that would inform and guide the development of the project.

Based on these design principles, the landscape implementation project was developed to encompass all communal areas, arrival and entrance spaces, and the landscape surrounding the residential units. Following the completion of the implementation design, leading nurseries across Italy were visited to identify and select plant species that met the established planting design criteria and quality standards.

Plants sourced from selected, high-quality, large-scale nurseries in Italy were incorporated into the project in accordance with the specified criteria for scale, form, texture, colour, and seasonal character. The selected plant material was installed on site by the contractor in accordance with the approved planting plans and technical details, and positioned to reinforce the spatial composition and landscape experience envisioned by the design.

Throughout all stages of the implementation process, professional consultancy and site supervision were carried out by Betula Landscape Architecture. This ensured the accurate translation of the design intent into the built landscape and the execution of the works in accordance with the approved project documentation, technical requirements, and established planting design principles.
